Christiane Lilge, born 1975, grew up in Lower Saxony, Germany.  After Highschool diploma in 1994 she studied film studies and psychology at Free University Berlin, followed by direction studies at  German Film- and Television Academy Berlin. She spent time abroad in the US, in Mongolia and in Sudan. In 2006 she founded the Büffel Filmproduktion in Bad Fallingbostel. She also works in casting,  writing and in production. Director's she worked for are e.g. Philip Gröning, Valeska Grisebach.

Nurse Ines is her thesis film at the filmacademy.
